Luke Cage season 2 spoilers: What happens next?
Plot details for the new Luke Cage are scant. The first season closed with our hero returning to Seagate Prison to serve time for his previous escape. His stint behind bars was a short one, with Luke back on the streets as of The Defenders.
It’s been confirmed that Finn Jones will appear in Luke Cage season two as Danny Rand. Danny Rand and Luke will be “teamed up for a bit” – with “a little Heroes for Hire [arc] somewhere in the season”.
For those not in the know, the Heroes for Hire comic saw Luke and Danny forming a for-hire superhero team alongside Misty and Colleen Wing (played by Jessica Henwick in the Netflix series).
Speaking of Misty, she suffered a serious injury in The Defenders, with Hand hitman Bakuto (Ramón Rodríguez) cutting off her right arm. She’ll be outfitted with a bionic arm – similar to that of her comic book counterpart – when Luke Cage returns.
Premiering in 2018 on Netflix, the 13-episode second season of Luke Cage features returning cast members Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard and Theo Rossi as Shades, joined by newcomers Mustafa Shakir as John McIver and Gabrielle Dennis as Tilda Johnson.
